Greenlight BTS, a Microsoft Dynamics™ AX
delivery partner, successfully implemented
one of its largest and most complicated
Dynamics AX 2009 installations in company
history. The Nunes Company implementation
presented a number of technical challenges
mainly driven by the unique nature of the
fresh produce business. The flexibility and
power of Dynamics AX made it the best choice
for Nunes and made this implementation
possible allowing Nunes to integrate harvest
estimates and market pricing fluctuations
with real-time sales order processing and
tight inventory control over fresh produce.
Nunes has successfully maintained normal
business operations and volumes since going
live with Dynamics AX in early November
2009. On its first day of operation, over
150 large semi-trucks were filled with fresh
produce destine for grocers across the
continent.

to implement several solutions specific to
the fresh produce industry including a sales
board that provides real-time visibility
into harvest estimates and market price
fluctuations," stated Jan Dahl Sorensen,

Other important elements of this
implementation that supported the unique
nature of the fresh-produce industry
included:
- Tight inventory tracking and
visibility through cooler and
pallet-level control
- Streamlined receiving and load
management utilities to expedite
receiving and loading dock activities
- Innovative grower accounting module
to support pooled pricing and grower
contracts
