recently completed the requirements to obtain
a Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP)
Credential from the
American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). A CITP is a CPA recognized for his or her unique ability to provide business insight by leveraging knowledge of information relationships and supporting technologies.
Unlike other certifications that recognize on a
variety of abilities, a CITP is an
accounting professional that focuses on
information assurance and management, which
makes a CITP-credentialed CPA among the most trusted business advisors.
Qualification for a CITP Credential uses a points system for the number of
billable and non-billable hours
of information management experience and the
number of credit hours and/or hours of
lifelong learning a CPA has in the following CITP
