BuyDesign to Streamline Sales Quoting, Ordering &
e-Commerce
COLUMBUS, OH: February 4, 2011 —
TDCI Inc. (TDCI), the leading provider of
configurator-based software solutions, announced today
that Seneca, a leading manufacturer of custom computer
systems, has selected TDCI’s BuyDesign Product Configurator and Guided Selling software to streamline sales quoting and ecommerce processes for all of the company’s sales channels. Seneca will use BuyDesign, integrated with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009, delivered by Microsoft Dynamics AX implementation partner, Greenlight Business Technology Solutions (Greenlight BTS).
BuyDesign is a comprehensive
solution suite developed to streamline the sales process
for customized products. BuyDesign
helps companies that manufacture products with a wide range of features, options, and dimensions increase sales by becoming ‘easy to do business with’ while at the same time reducing order processing time, cost, and errors.
Seneca has licensed several
components of BuyDesign for Microsoft Dynamics AX,
including: BuyDesign Configurator – a powerful product
configurator integrated into Microsoft Dynamics AX,
BuyDesign Channel Sales – a robust web-based sales
quoting, guided selling, and ordering solution, and
BuyDesign Storefront – a highly tailorable ecommerce
solution. BuyDesign Channel Sales and BuyDesign
Storefront both utilize the same BuyDesign product
configurator that Seneca will use within Microsoft
Dynamics AX; enabling Seneca to support all of the
company’s sales channels and internal sales processes
with a common product configurator. BuyDesign
Configurator will use
centrally maintained product models to drive the configuration experience for all types of users, and will dynamically generate Microsoft Dynamics AX bills of material (BOMs) to drive production regardless of the method of order entry.
