May 1, 2008 - One of the Microsoft
Dynamics AX community's leading consultants
has joined Greenlight BTS as a partner. Jan
Dahl Sorensen, who was instrumental, as a member of
the development team at Damgaard Data, in
bringing the Axapta ERP application, which
eventually became Dynamics AX, to the United
States from Europe.
"Jan was instrumental in developing the
concept and vision for Greenlight BTS before
the company existed,
so it is a great pleasure to finally have
him on board as a partner," said co-founder
Brian Lounds. "We anticipate being able to
help our clients at an even higher level
because of Jan's long history of AX
application development combined with his
expert knowledge of how
business processes and functions directly influence
the bottom line of a general ledger."
Jan Sorensen began his career as an
accountant in his homeland of Denmark. After
a decade of accounting, Jan applied that
knowledge to his next position supporting Damgaard's Concord XAL enterprise resource
planning software, which was the predecessor
to Axapta.
Jan eventually joined Damgaard
International A/S in its effort
to localize Concorde XAL for other countries. He
was responsible for localization of Axapta
in North America and led the U.S. AX Hit Team when it launched
the application in North America during
1997. He moved to the U.S. with his wife
in 1998 to join one of the initial Axapta
business partners.
In 2000, Jan moved to Indiana and joined one of the nation's
leading Dynamics AX consulting firms as a Senior Managing Consultant for Implementation

where he worked with the eventual founders
of Greenlight BTS. He is a Microsoft Dynamics AX expert in Financials, Banking, Supply Chain, Production, Master Planning, Warehousing, and Projects. In addition, Jan has AX experience with CRM, HRM and Shop Floor.
